Get ready for an exciting new talk show adventure with Hoda Kotb! The beloved TV personality is back with a fresh concept, and it's not what you'd expect.
One year ago, Hoda Kotb bid farewell to her role on NBC's Today, but her journey in the spotlight is far from over. She's now taking the reins of her very own talk show, Joy Rides, and it's set to be a game-changer.
But here's where it gets interesting: Joy Rides won't be gracing your TV screens. Instead, it's a YouTube sensation in the making, a collaboration between Kotb's wellness brand, Joy 101, and QVC.
In each episode, Hoda will hit the road with famous faces, delving into their personal stories and experiences. From career highs to life's lows, these conversations are sure to be eye-opening.
The show's teaser, shared on Joy 101's Instagram, sets the tone: "Hop in, @hodakotb is going for a Joy Ride! Where to? Doesn't matter. The best conversations happen when you're on the move." And they're not kidding! With six incredible guests lined up for six unique rides, Joy Rides promises an intimate and moving experience.
One of the first guests to join Hoda on her journey is TV personality and stylist Stacy London. In the trailer, we see Stacy ready for a bike ride, eager to share her story. "I just need someone to ride with," she says, and who better than Hoda?
But that's not all. Hoda will also be reuniting with her former Today co-anchor, Savannah Guthrie, for a heartwarming chat during Guthrie's morning commute. "If you're in the car, it's joy," Guthrie confesses, adding that Hoda's presence brings a much-needed dose of happiness to her early morning routine.
And the questions Hoda asks are thought-provoking to say the least. She delves into the lives of her guests, inquiring about their life lessons and the detours that led them to where they are today. For instance, she asks Peloton instructor Ally Love, "Do you feel like you're where you're supposed to be?" and jewelry designer Jennifer Miller, "What detour ended up being exactly what you needed?"
But here's the twist: Joy Rides isn't your typical talk show. Hoda's guests will also get a chance to grill her! Savannah Guthrie asks, "Who are you dating?" and Stacy London wonders, "Was there ever a moment you thought, 'Sh*t, what did I do?'" Even Peloton instructor Ally Love gets in on the action, asking, "What do you do when you're truly scared?"
Joy Rides is set to premiere on Joy 101's YouTube channel on Wednesday, January 21st. And this is the part most people miss: Hoda's new project comes just after the one-year anniversary of her departure from Today. She left the show in January 2025 to spend more time with her children and pursue other passions, including Joy 101 and her latest book, Jump and Find Joy.
