Side of the bike for me so I can remove it at night.

I have an sae plug running under my tank. The plug sits right under my dash. Then I plug in there as needed.

Not a flat mount but another option I found. I have bar end mirrors so was able to use this Ram mount in the holes where my old mirrors went. I used red lock-tite to make sure it wouldn’t vibrate free

Ok here is what I ended up with
I bought this one so I can attach to bars on the pedal bike
Ram Mounts RAM-B-149Z-UN7U Handlebar Rail Mount with U-Bolt Base and Universal X-Grip Cell Phone Holder, Zinc Coated https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006X387ZS..._nQjKDbEZTN9QR

Then after inspecting the old tech mount I realized I could just screw in a ball to the base after taking the arm and plate off the techmount

I ended up quitting the Ram mount for a Quadlock. Much smaller profile and feels more stable. I still use the Ram mount ball attachments but not the mount itself. I use one side of the handlebars for the phone and the other for the GoPro
