Talking Ride to work today...

I live north of Clarkston and there was frost on my truck this morning. But, I didn't care. I wanted to ride! I work in Troy so it was about an hour ride. The temp when I left was 41 degrees. Since it was going to warm up to 60 later in the day, I thought it was worth it.

Know what 41 degrees feels like at 80 mph?

I looked it up. It has the feel of 24 degrees.

I haven't been that cold since that Redline trip to the UP about 10 years ago. At least tomorrow will be 50 degrees at 9am!

Anyone else riding these brisk mornings?

Good job! I do ride these brisk mornings. Protip: snowmobile mittens. I wouldn't be able to ride in winter without them. And double up on the long undies if it's 35į or colder.

Someone said we are supposed to get snow this weekend but I refuse to believe that. I bet you'd wish you stayed another week in Alabama now!

Snowmobile gloves would have been an excellent idea! Just another one of those "I'll never need that" ... til you need it kind of things.

40 is usually my cutoff...anything below that and itís just painful. I have heated gloves and that helps out a ton! If I didnít have them, I think upper 40ís would be the edge of my comfort zone.
I also have a long commute; Farmington Hills to Selfridge but risked it on Wednesday. Didnít get as warm as it was supposed to but still decent enough. I think Iíve already logged about 400 miles so far this year and itching to get more!
