Grattan

Hey I am new here and will be doing Grattan for my 1st track day in Michigan. Having never been there before and only doing the LED intermediate for Friday only where do most people set up? Is there a normal pit row that most put up their canopies or what nots?

I know down at Tally GP we set up on the Pit row and could just sit right out in their chairs and hang out for the day.

Usually the lower "bowl" area in the infield. At the Grattan all the pits are in the infield of the track. As you cross into the infield do not go up in the garage area. Head straight and take the first right in the grass infield area. Given the weekend activities I will be getting there the night before and camping out.

Rich

BTW the CounterClockWise is awesome

yup, we normally take up the very end by T8, the bowl. at least for the last 4+ years its been our spot. great place for viewing the day as well as watching "slides". lol

cross the track, past the gas pumps on the right, then the next "road" you come to bust a right. go all the way to the end and thats where we pit.

Absolutely you can pit wherever there is room in the paddock for the day. Pitbikes are OK yes. There are various locations to view the areas of the track. If you go into the garage area (where you can go) just follow the counter-clock-wise traffic flow (ie: stay to the right).

Cool thanks. Do people usually set there truck/trailer area up off the track and then just ride down to the pits when they are ready to get back at it?

Either way I will figure it out on the 13th I will have the red/white/with blue stars GSXR 600 777plates. Feel free to come on by and say hey.

You can see about half the track from various locations.

This picture (not my picture...from Jig Moore) is looking from the garage area down at the paddock area where people are setup. Hopefully that gives you a little idea.
