We got screwed..
The automobile insurance reform law that was passed last year in Michigan fully boned us over. Immediate action is needed so that your medical expenses will be paid in the event of an accident with a motor vehicle. Go here: https://nebula.wsimg.com/d6b4bad0991...&alloworigin=1
SB 528 will fix this injustice but it needs your help. Call your state senator and tell them to support SB 528.. Bill.

This is pretty standard across regular insurance..i pick my coverage of medical along with what im willing to cover the other person..if bills exceed that amount it always goes to court and the person at fault is responsible for the rest.
This is the problem with no fault. Is now im willing to do the same but you cant sue me for more cause its no fault. Where before you could run that bill up till you were better. Or the cap was much higher under law. Which makes insurance rates out of control. At least under fault insurance whoever is at fault their insurance pays everything whichever amount they pick..state usually has a minimum. Like 10-20-10. https://www.carinsurance.com/car-insurance-numbers.aspx This is why all other states have affordable ins. And better drivers..instead of you paying your premium for your bad driving and if you can afford it drive wildly..your rates can change because of you bad driving when your causing wrecks. |

they should have kept the old laws and made it only valid if you were wearing helmet. no helmet, no 'no fault' benefit.
