Cardio.

Hate it.

But I'll do it. That's mine.

To stay away from the gym until February 1st - that's about when all of the people with resolutions to start working out finally give up

its all in the time and days that you go. Go before work or at lunch and you dont have that problem

The chances of me waking up before 7:30 am to go to the gym on any given day are about the same as me contracting testicular cancer - it just ain't gonna happen...

And what is this "lunch" concept you speak of?

I hate this time of year at the gym. For the next 4 to 6 weeks, all the Krispy Kreme Calendar girls will be getting in the way, along with their fat counterparts from the Sumo wrestling team.

My workouts will take an extra hour during this time period. Last year I sat there and watched and listened to these two huge gals try and work out. They did like 10 minutes of extremely light weight lifting. The one gal says to the other, we have been working hard and need a break. Next thing I see is the two of them with a hand full of Snickers bars, stuffing their faces. WTF???

It takes more than a resolution, it takes commitment, something that is sadly lacking in some folks. If you WANT to lose weight, quit smoking or drinking, save money, or whatever. It takes commitment, discipline and a plan to be successful. Don't lie to yourself and make a resolution unless you're serious about it and committed to it. If you WANT to quit smoking, you CAN do it. If you WANT to lose weight, change your eating habits and get to the gym. It requires more than a gym membership, it requires a lifestyle change and commitment. Without these two things, people are destined to fail again and again.

Dear miss Krispy Kreme calendar girl,

Please wipe the damn chocolate off the weights when your done using them.

Thank you

The Management
