I decided I'm not going to wear a helmet anymore

I mean, c'mon! We are crashing alot less than not crashing! The odds are in our favor!

Having said that, my new lid showed up today ^_^

This bell star is engineered pretty damn well. The vents are easy as pie to operate and it's nice and light.

The fact bell destroys 20% of their production to testing makes me happy.

I wish it was ece certified rather than snell (in my opinion ece is superior).

I guess how loud this thing is will be decided sometime in the near future.

I think it fits alright....my shoei is an xl (61 to 62) and this helmet is a L (60 to 61)

I'm right on the 61 line I think..been wearing it around the house for a bit to see if it's tolerable. The bag it came in is swaggy enough to bring to a coke party with pride.

Impressed with bells progress.
Was on the fence for the rf1100 since I love my rf1000.

As long as you keep your hairs cut you should be fine on fit.

this is a good point, my hair is currently sorta cut...im thinking the interior will break in a bit with some use and fit spot on. plus i wear my denzel washington psycle skin cap...so yea, that should help keep my head bush (get it?) in place.

If it's not pretty close to uncomfortable new, it'll be too big by the end of summer

Nice lid. I really like the new Bell helmets, especially that damn Born Free that I am barely resisting pulling the trigger on

congrats
I really like my star, It is with out a doubt the most comfortable helmet i own. It starts out pretty tight but affter about 10 hours of use it settles right in. After it is settled You wont appreciate it until you wear your other helmet then you will say aha,

what was different is that this helmet puts some pressure on the sides of my head. i have been wearing it for like 25 mins and its feeling better i guess, i forgot i was wearing it (the goal)

that born free might be semi-limited. i dont think they sold as many as they were expecting initially so you might want to get one sooner than later. maybe aubrey could tell you if that was a one run deal or not. i just know that STG announced it on the bimmer forum like it was supposed to be limited edition before it went on sale.

i think that will be the case. my other helmets fit great but im wondering if they werent just ever so slightly too big.

my shark had cadillac padding inside it, once it broke in a bit it got alittle loose (thats what she said?)

i think this is a better helmet than both my other ones i wear regularly. i still wouldnt mind getting an rf1100 as a backup/alternate potentially.
