Exclamation Help End Federally Funded Motorcycle-only Checkpoints!

Do you want your hard-earned tax dollars going to fund motorcycle-only checkpoints? If you answered no, you need to sign the American Motorcyclist Association’s petition to end MOCs today!

The AMA opposes the checkpoints because they are unfair, costly and ineffective.

In addition to the privilege of being singled out and directed to a discriminatory checkpoint, you also have the pleasure of knowing that your hard-earned tax dollars are allowing this to occur!
Over $500,000 of funds dedicated to highway safety have been spent on motorcycle-only checkpoints – with more to come.

This money could have paid the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course fee for 10,000 potential motorcyclists, been used to combat distracted driving. Instead, the money was wasted on frivolous, discriminatory MOCs.

Fed up? You can do something about it!

Help the motorcycling community fight these discriminatory checkpoints by signing the petition today!

Link to the AMA's petition page is here: https://cqrcengage.com/amacycle/app/...gementId=47742

PROTECT YORU RIGHTS AS A MOTORCYCLIST AND SUPPORT THOSE WHO HELP YOU TO DO THIS!

Signed! These checkpoints are a clear violation of our 4th Amendment rights and need to stop.

Yeah but don't point that out, they hate that.

NC is big on vehicle checkpoints. I've never really figured out what they hell they are looking for because they basically look at you DL and plate, and send you on your way.

I think they know what they are looking for.

Dot helmets, proper eye protection, plate not stuffed in under the bike, etc.

More like: Out of state plates of people who don't know any better and will just pay fines in lieu of driving/riding 700+ miles for a court date.

I meant more on the general checkpoints where they stop cars as well. I been through several and never had a cop get close enough or interact with me long enough for it to be a sobriety checkpoint.

Also, Tennessee, especialy Knoxville, LOVES to use speed cameras and red light cameras, and mail out tickets. My Attorney has advised that you can throw them away because they are unenforceable, but as always YMMV.
