My Cheap Performance Upgrade

Can't wait to try it out when I get home next month. When I left Fort Hood Texas, I weighed 220. Since I have been here and knew I would be outside the wire a lot I knew I had to get into better shape. I have been running a lot since it warmed up, just passed 130 miles yesterday. As of a week ago I was down to 186. Even dropped one size when I got my new uniforms. My goal is to be down into the mid 170's before I get home for good. I figure dropping 35-45lbs should make a HUGE difference on the bike. And an added bonus, I feel great.

I turn 45 in a few days and my short term goal is to pass the APFT at the 22 year old standard.

For those of you that have seen me, here is a picture from a few days ago, I think you will notice a difference. So if anyone finds my belly, could you please return it?

Great job, losing weight and feeling better is a win-win.

DemonRR, I think you mean Colonel from "The Unit" ... Cpl usually means Corporal.

congrats on the weight loss, you'll feel a major difference. I dropped ~30lbs a couple years ago, made a huge difference on the bike.

Nothing more impressive to a young Private than a Senior NCO that can not only pass, but max out a AFPT.
