Older pitbull front stand help

Does anyone know how to operate the older style pitbull front stand that lifts from the triple tree?

This is the older style that has the pivot arm on top of the stand.

here is a pic of the stand. I bought it a while back but never had to use it, and I was briefly instructed, but forgot, lol.

I was actually on the phone with Jerry and he was explaining it to me, when I finally got it. It is actually a really nice front stand, and the bike is rock solid.
