Anyone have one?
I'm thinking about a Helix, Reflex, Burgman, or Magisty.
Want to know who has one and what they may think.
Oh, also, if anyone has a 50cc scooter for sale, my parents are looking for something to b'bop around town with.
Thanks

I had a burgman... 650 and I pimped it out with a 10 inch sub in the trunk ( just for hoots Im not nutty )
I absolutely loved it.. Mine blew up and I sued Suzuki for 2 years and won a nice settlement... They refused to honor the warranty, in the long run I knew I was right and fought the good fight...
Ill never buy another Suzuki for the way they treated me.. So I cant suggest a burgman, But I was unlucky Im sure Ive never heard anything else bad about them and Burgie owners website shows no other other trends of problems...
I LOVED the burgie...
I would list them like this
Burgie 650
400
Silver Wing
Yamaha ( whatever the name is )
Helix
Ruckus would be kewl also

Tony, your right, I haven't found anything bad being said about the burgmans. Sorry to hear about your issues. But glad you were able to make it right.
Here are the reasons/things I'm looking for.
1. Wife must like it, seeing she may be the one getting rid of her lowered R6 for it. (this is her decision people. LOL)
2. Lockable/weatherproof storage for larger items. I.E. Rain gear with a computer back pack and possibly a helmet.
3. Gas mileage of 60+
4. Protection from the elements. I.E. big enough wind screen, built to keep your legs dry when moving.
4. The ability to take it on the highway with 2 people (for longer distances than commuting) and keep up with traffic, with out loosing gas mileage.
I have always liked the Helix, but it looks like something from battle star galactica. From what I read, it doesn't have much power with 2 people at highway speeds. I.E. passing ability.
The Burgman 400 seems to be the likely candidate. It has the best mileage out of the 400 and 650, is relatively cheap, and gets the best mileage.
We have to keep telling ourselves this isn't a cruiser and we are not buying it to ride across country. It's just a commuter.

Then Id say Silver wing... Slightly lower step thru and a proper engine
No to the Helix, I actually own a helix also, but in a state of disrepair...
Its only a 250 and yes Highway capable, but tops around 75 I think

I didn't think the Silver wing got that good of mileage.

Did you buy this in a working condition? Or was this a project bike?
I.E. have you used it as a commuter?

This isn't a serious question is it? Scooter? Come on most of you won't wave at them and now you're buying them :ban::ban::ban::ban::ban::ban::ban::ban:

It sat for about 15 years in a barn.. It is all cleaned up and runs, but the tranny is all gummed up and isnt smooth
But i have used a HELIX before a commuter.. Top speed around 72 if I recall... Very wind buffeted ( is that even a word ! )

It's all about the practicality!
Gas mileage, storage space. I'll take that over looking like a fruit loop.
But then again, does anyone on here think that I care what people think of me when I ride? (see avtar) LOL
Not that I need to justify it, but, it's all about the budget.

Yeah. I was out the other day and saw a guy in a full business suite on one. Even the big whigs are feeling the gas crunch.
Ok I have to say it..... Scooters are like fat chicks... they fun to ride but you don't want your friends to see you on one! :ban: :loser:

I have some jacked up friends. LOL
No problem here.
But yeah, If I get one, I might just have to get that quote in a sticker and put it on it.
Now that would be funny.

wait, maybe not.
I'd hate to get run off the road from someone who resembles the quote. LOL
