I'll go! Most people are planning on going to Mid-Ohio on Sunday Aug 3.

The Ride/BBQ would be a good warm-up for the main event.

I guess there won't be any new member voting in as it appears that only a few of us might end up going. i don't know about you guys, but it seems that creating a Saturday meeting is very difficult as we all have personal stuff to do. How about we just do a weekday quick meeting, maybe a dinner sometime on the week day? I am personally starting to think that I will never be able to join the "club" as we don't have time for each other.

marc i have been feeling the same. I need our members to step up with some ideas. people are asking for a meeting and yet its hard to get everyone to meet up is there any ideas that we can all or most try and meet up and talk and hang??

its just one of those situations where you cant get everyone on the same schedule. it's summer and people have commitments during the weekends, weddings, family outings, graduation parties, track days etc.

Maybe a weeknight get together would make better sense around Troy or R.O. (not on a thursday because all the dinner areas will be packed and we might have a hard time discussing club business).

Yeah +1....doesn't need to be a formal event....quick bite or a drink during the week somewhere

I know this place in Detroit, its a Mexican restaurant (great food) and it has a semi-private area where we can meet... We can make it a weekday meeting...

That might be too congested for a quick wkdy meeting.

Probably something further north, more local, etc.

Seriously, if there is going to be five people there and moving it to sunday will have 7 then lets do it. I see more no's than yes's on this thread. It would be nice to get these new people voted in or tell them to pound sand, but this limbo shit isnt going to work. if you officers have to grab the list and start calling people then I suggest you do that.

I like your thinking.... There are other ways of getting us voted in/out... There are poles but every member would have to be reminded to vote... Just my :2cents:

How about the wkdy thought?
Just a simple meeting, nothing elaborate?
Vote in the new guys, some new biz and all done?
How about a Thursday night, either in RO or outside of RO?
Say 7 or 7:30?

Or another wknight?

I hate to be one of the "those" guys, but back in the day we would have our meetings on Thursday nights, a quick and dirty meeting, then all ride to RO together. The meeting doesn't need to be in RO. Shit, have the meeting at the Burger King at the BP. There are lots of people that make time for RO, take advantage of that and have a quick meeting.

Then have the picnic the weekend after Labor day. That way all the summer crap is done and people are back into their normal routines.:2cents: Seemed to work when I did that a few years ago. We have what 40 or so people there?? Shit, that was like 4 years ago...man time flies.

Anywhere but wayne co......

Ann Arbor is a great choice if enough people can make it.
I would have tried to make it, maybe extra nap time before I leave the house at 5am to make it on time....

My vote is always what ever is best for those who you expect to attend.
You could base the choice on what the majority of redline members choose, only to have only the most active members show up, and nobody else, 60 miles out of their way.....for naught.

Ann Arbor is Washtenaw County. I'm working there now.

I'm still out for the next 2 Sundays.

I am not a proponent of voting people out due to non participation and would never vote for such action. I would only see a vote out if you were a total fockin bone head and felt you were indangering the lives of club members on a consistient basis and never would listen to any verbal warning or such

By using the words "vote in/out" I was merely generalizing my statement! Only on a extreme case would I vote someone out of a club. :icon14:
