OK I added a mod so that you can ignore the news forums from get new posts. You can also ignore any other area you wish.
Go to User Cp
Edit options
Scroll to the bottom and just highlight the forums you want to exclude from new posts.
(Hint..hold down ctrl to select multiple)
I know Headlight is at a funeral so I am just helping you all out. Hope this is what you want.
