Mid Ohio July 29th trackday (tuesday)

so i seen in the other thread abotu mid ohio july 29th.

maby we can get together and plan out this trip. theres already a few guys from 1000rr.net that want to go. ill be down for it.

from my understanding, they are breaking it up into 2 groups. 1 is street (novice and lower intermediate riders) and 2 is sport (upper level intermediate and advanced riders). so this means more track time, but alot of slower ppl in the street group to navagate around and attempt to pass (if possible).

so who is all in?

are you guys camping, hoteling it up, what?

My buddy and I (Karma on the board - Derek at Grattan last weekend) are going and doing the street group. We're heading down the night before and the hotel is still a TDB. Although there will be a huge range of skills in that group, MO is huge with many place to pass, so it shouldn't be a big deal. I'm more concerned with the longer sessions kicking my ass towards the end of the day, but I'm looking forward to it. I really like the idea of this format and will probably try to do more of these and/or the LEDs in the future. It's cheaper for the track time and obviously you spend the same on the gas and hotels to do them, so they make a lot of sense.

hey, you guys want me to bring a griddle to cook some burgers and dogs on? i can grab one from walmart for about 30.00 or so. might be better food than the shit they give us normally. i cant eat any more cold ham sandwiches like we get at grattan.

also, anyone know where we are gonna pit? ive got a couple other riders from 1000rr.net going also. maby 4 of them, all cool guys, track riders and not asshats. i figured we can all pit together and comendeer(sp) an entire section like we do at grattan.

just a thought.

Hard to describe where we might end up pitting. It's more of a parking lot than anything else, so it's hard to pick a spot ahead of time. More than likely, we'll end up on the lower or middle paddock area (http://www.midohio.com/track.aspx). Might just be easier to call or text them once we get there.

If you guys do Barber I'm in. I will sell my soul to go there (J\K). As of now, my next trackday won't be until Autobahn over Labor Day Weekend. I need new tires, and can't swing it right now. Glad you all had fun, and wish I could have been there.

It was an awesome day and that track likes me and my bike a helluva lot better than Grattan. I'm surprisingly not all that tired, but I guess missing the last couple of sessions helped a lot. Once again, getting that garage is definitely the way to go.
