What do you guys think about creating a site "phonebook". I know a lot of us don't have each other's numbers and I'm sure there's been plenty of times where people have wanted to get a hold of each other, but can't because the other person isn't online. We've all posted our numbers in threads about rides and such, but if we have something on the site, we might be able to reach each other easier. All voluntary of course and maybe only make it accessible if you have a login/pass for the site.

+1 :icon14: Maybe only accessible to Redline Members?

I don't have an issue with it, butanother option is to make a master list of Redline Members numbers, and have Eric e-mail it or PM it to everyone in Redline. Not a bad is idea though.

like nate said, a roster was handed out at the mrB's meeting. i dont have a problem wiht my number and addy being out there, but i would preferr only MEMBERS have access to it. i dont want a tool trolling the site being able to get everyones numbers.

Or maybe extend it to members and regular riders to RO/trackdays. I wouldn't want my number open to everyone either. But I'm not in town enough to officially join Redline.

I do not think that there would be a problem if someone PM'd another person and asked for their number.

Perhaps more of a "here is my number, what is your's?" type of PM.

+1 only flaw is those too inpatient to wait to find for the person to check their PM's especially if it was for a ride or quick thing.

What if Headlight made a new section called Contact Info (or something like that) available only to paying members. In there include the spreadsheet given out at the meeting earlier this year and simply update it as people join or leave the group. If any member specifically doesn't want their info given out, let him know and he can remove it.

Yes, I do love making work for Eric - it's good to keep the crippled busy.

We already have an area available to paying member's only, it's called the member's area. Our secretary is more than to post the roster he maintains in that section. However since it is a non-member who started this it wouldn't really help. However I'm also not sure we want to publish the roster on the web for the world to see.
