In case any of you missed Jane's post earlier, there was a pretty bad crash at Grattan on Sunday. It happened right at Turn 6 befor the bowl. It was one of the Videographers with Shadow Video. He was following a customer, and dug a peg into the ashphalt. He high-sided, and landed on his back and head. I know I go through those S's pretty fast, and he was in th A group.
He was head to toe in race gear. Pretty sure he had a back protector, and had an Arai RX7 Corsair helmet. Helmet had some serious rash and gouging on the sides, but was still in-tact.
He walked away with only some minor back pain from the impact with the track. Moral of the story ATGATT! I know I sometimes ride in Jeans and street boots, but not anymore after this crash and Webb's crash.

Hope he will be ok.
That has to suck there.
That is where Wayne's son high sided his Busa, dug in a peg, and over he went.

That was my buddy Jesse.
From his post on the DU board:
My weekend wasn't as good as Stewies... T7 took a chunk out of my pride.
First I'd like to thank all of the people that helped out.. response was lightning fast. My gear did it's job and it sure could have been worse, I've got two sprained fingers, a torn maniscus (sp?) and contusions to my back. The x-rays showed a potential problem with my spine and if pain persists I'll go in for a catscan. There is no nurological damage. I'm functional just a bit slow. Thanks for all the well wishes from the folks that stopped by and I apologize for taking a bit of the N group's time, though I believe they got their last session. I also want to aplogize to Shadow Video because I don't want to represent them in a negative light. We all know the potential danger of riding on the track and all of the risks involved. As safe as we all try to be, these things happen.
But the true story behind all of this is that since I'm an artist by trade I just had to leave my mark on the new surface, kind of like a dog squirtin' on the new Maple tree that was just planted. Check out that fat darkie, I think I'm going to sign all of my official paperwork that way from now on.

I'll see you guys back out at Grattan at the end of the month.
