Welcome brother. Welcome to the group, and to your new addiction (track). My first trackday was also at Gingerman last year, in the rain. I hate that track, and will probably not go back. Wait till you do Grattan! We are all heading up there on the 5th and 6th, you should join us. Lots of people going, some riding, some spectating.
Check the thread in the track riding forum.

Hi Jared,
I'm glad you made it over to the site. Hopefully I'll see you out at the track again soon or on one of our rides. There's a ride on Sunday that should be fun if it doesn't rain.

No, I've never been up to L7 yet. Heard it's the place go....

Thanks, I'm considering it....I saw some video of Grattan and it looked pretty sweet. Gingerman was fun, but I could have done without the sealer strips in several corners.

Sort of off topic but I wouldnt recommend anyone going to L7 in my personal opinion. I would be more then happy to share what has happened to several of my friends as well to me, but I wont discuss it in an open forum unless I can! :)

It's your opinion and your certainly entitled to it. IMO for every good story about a place there is at least on bad story. But L7 has done absolutely nobody here wrong.

To each his own. For the past 10 years, the only one I've ever trusted to work on any of my bikes besides myself is Scott. I do 90% of my work myself, but for the other 10%, I take my stuff to Scott. :2cents:

are you the guy who bought the SHITTY taylor made exhaust system and expected it to be top quality and have the finish flake off? if so, your thoughts have no bearing (IMO). T/M exhausts are SHIT exhausts and are as good as quality as a D&D or other low quality systems.
I have had nothing but POSITIVE experiences with Scott and L7, and he will continue to get my business.

I am sorry but Redline Superbike might not be the best place to talk negative about L7. As you can see, we all already take our bikes to L7 Motorsports and we are all really satisfied with his work. He has done no wrong to any of us here at Redline. We understand you might have had a problem with him for whatever reason. Discussing in an open forum of L7 fans might not be the best idea. Of course this is just my humble opinion.

Personally, I think the guy can discuss whatever he wants on this "OPEN" forum, as long as he sticks to the rules. Just because he had a bad experience with someone we frequently use and like, doesn't make his point any less valid.
I use L7, and like Scott's work also, but that does not give me the right to discount anyone's opinion. If he had a bad experience, I for one, would like to hear about it. Then, I would like to hear the other side of the story.
Unbelievable!

Nope... if we don't like your opinions then you got to do as you do with your feelings... keep 'em bottle up inside :sissy:
Of course I am kidding... and yes you do make a valid point... but the guy is opening up for some flaming just because such a high percent of people here like L7.

I wasn't really talking about your post Marc, but thanks. Honestly, if anyone flames this guy for posting his bad experience, they should prepare to get flamed back from me. As I said, I like Scott, and I take my stuff to him, but if its a valid complaint, flaming him is :bs:, and anyone that does it is an asshole.
I think that our club is a step above others when it came to this type of stuff, so we should act like it.

We are a step above others... but if we are going to have a complaints against one of our sponsors then it better be respectful and not be pointless... I have seen complaints on other forums about businesses just because they were expecting the impossible and the business could not provide. In the other hand it would be good to hear exactly what the problem was and how it did not get resolved. Once more… just my humble opinion.

As I said in the previos post, I wasn't getting into specific details.
Yes I was the one who bought the T/M exhaust. As far as the paint flaking off & being top quality, you have me confused with someone else.
It was only my opinion based on what has happened to me as well as a few of my other friends in which have had the unfortunate oppurtunity to deal with him.

My point exactly! That said, telling the guy that posting a complaint about L7 is not a good idea, because we like L7 is rediculous. I agree, let the complaint come out, if its BS flame away, if its legit, then form you own opinion. I would hate to scare a potential member away by making him think that we are a bunch of Nazi's that make our membership conform to whatever.
I understand that Scott is a site sponsor, but I also can't stand sensorship in this form. I am sure if Nate, Chris, You, or myself had an issue with L7, or any other shop, sponsor or not, it would be up on the board.
Buzzy, you should really post your complaint on the open board. My advice: Be respectful, and state facts, because if I know Scott, he will respond, and he is one of the most knowledgeable mechanics that I know.
