With the weather thundering outside, it looks like a game time call. :(

Even if we get down there by 9pm, the fireworks don't start till 10 so plenty of time to park and walk to a good spot.

Plenty of parking around Tiger stadium and then walk down Greek town to the RenCen or take People mover. (Won't be able to take people mover back b/c the cars are always full)

I was meeting some peeps at 8pm in RO......stay tuned. :dunno:

sounds good, I will keep an eye on the board. Might just meet you guys there in detroit if we can. We are leaving Allen Park. It would be a ride to go up to RO then back down here.

Ok, we had to back up the time to 8:45 in RO b/c of weather concerns, but we are going.
Quick stop at the Loco Bar (mexican) in Greek town after we park.
We'll be on the sidewalk in front of the RenCen once we get down there. :thumb2:

I know this event is obviously over but I was thinking the same thing last night but was scared that someone would steal or vandalise my bike. Where do you guys park when you go downtown?

There are several surface lots at Gratiot and Beaubien, (near Ford Field/Tiger Stadium) which is the west end of Greek Town. There is a cop shop right there as well. Must have bee 20 cops on that corner alone. Big police presence through-out Greek Town and the water front.

We parked in a gated lot. ;) but I wouldn't be afraid of those surface lots in Greektown.

You don't want to park near the waterfront anyways, for when the show is over, it's a zoo. To congested even for a bike to get through.

We walked right past all the congestion, got on our bikes and got home quick.
:ridin: :burnout:

We ended up parking in Greek Town parking garage. They had a nice place for bikes to park. Sorry we did not see you guys. We were close though. We watched from the right side of the ren cen if your facing the river. Got out kinda of easy, just had one idiot come into my lane on 94. Other than that a pretty good night.

Thanks for the info guys I have been wanting to ride downtown but didnt want anything to happen to the bike. But I guess thats why I have insurance, I would just have to worry about Hellsnat since that was his baby LOL.

I was going to ride to Comerica Park for a game or last night the river front for the fireworks. Two of my friends had things happen to there bikes downtown. One a yellow/black 02 GSXR 750 was layingo on its side 2 years ago (dont remember where he parked) the other had a 03 R6 stolen while he went down to the Wings parade I believe he parked in a flat lot in Greektown.
