ok its time for me to put the elantra to rest from hauling my bike to trackdays. im looking for a cargo van. like those e250 type cargo vans or the like. ive been on craigslist for a few hours looking and i have no idea whats good or whats garbage. im tired of unfolding my trailer, setting it up, packing my car to the max with all the extrra crap i need, might need, or bring in case of something happening. so i figure a cargo van is the way to go.
post up if you know of one for sale, or know anything about them. im not looking to spend alot on it, i also dont care about the color, body condition, as long as the suspension, motor, and trans are in excellent working order.

You might also check the WERA site.
And, ask Clay if he might have a line on something nice, but not too expensive.
Maybe a small pickup truck would also work for you, if one could be found cheaply enough?

Vans work great! ;)
You can usually find companies selling their fleet work vans for new ones.
Not sure you need a 3/4 ton chassis. Bikes aren't that heavy and those vans are higher off the ground making loading and unloading more difficult. :2cents:

Hmmm.
Bad timing.
They just had one of those Sheriff's drug/forfeitures auctions yesterday down Taylor way yesterday.

yes, i know. but before a track bike i think a generator and a set of warmers is needed. im tired of farting around the 1st lap for the power races to get to temp. i kept pushing the front and sliding the rear from enterance to the straight every time back out for the session.

Dave, seriously, you don't need tire warmers, you don't need a generator, you don't need a cargo van, you need a 600cc trackbike. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

beleive me, id much rather tear it up on a 600, rather on my fat 1000 pig. ive been looking for one for a little bit now. nothing i like, well cheap enough atm. i have a connection in NY with some wrecked bikes, that ive been talking to for a yr now. he gets some great bikes, and some not so great bikes.

Its a track day, not a race... and if you go up to the staging area too soon or the track marshall takes forever to let you get on the track then your tires will be cooled off.
Here's what you need.
