At what age can you start taking your kids for rides? I have an 8 year old son that is begging me to take him out. :ridin:

where do you want to take him?? i think if its just a short ride and he can reach the pegs and be secure holding you hes fine i dont think going for long periods would be good but....:2cents:

I take my daughter (8) on trips that are no more than 100-150 miles roundtrip. I also have her kinda strapped on to me 'cos she's fall asleep.

I found that her enthusiasm for riding is greatly increased if there is ice cream involved!

My wife (older than 8) fell asleep once... we were riding my old Seca II

there is a device called a buddy strap for kids. I have seen it used on snowmobiles and seen Eunice use it for her youngest while riding her motorcycle. keeps the kid strapped to you like a low slung backpack. This way the kid cant fall off if they lose balance or fall asleep.
