Ok so we are working on 1 final detail but time is limited so I wanted to get the word out - not positive we will stick with Half Moon Beach as final destination due to the $6 park entry fee - we are working to negotiate with Half Moon on a discounted or free rate or we are going to move to a free park in the same area - rest of the details won't change including dates, times and starting location. If you can come out please do to help support a great cause or if you just want to donate and can help please do. This is for a real good friend of mine's brother.
RIDE FOR JAY 2008
Why are we doing this ride?
Jay Kortes [the week before his 47th birthday] was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS); most commonly known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”. ALS is progressive disease that affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. As you can tell, his life and family [including wife Mary and teenage daughter Amy] are in for a big change. Due to this unfortunate situation and the overwhelming medical bills we are doing a charity ride in his honor. All proceeds from this ride will go directly to help with his medical bills and to make his house more accessible to his needs.
