So I was out at my sisters last night for my dad's 60th birthday party, we were riding dirt bikes in the back yard. I'm still not real sure what happened just know that all of a sudden I was on the ground. So off to emergency I go, they took x-rays, gave me a knee immobilizer and prescription. I have a Tibial Plateau Fracture which may require surgery. I'll know more on Monday after I make an appointment and see the doc's. My first broken bone. ;)

 The bike had a bent shift pedal that was fixed before I got back from the emergency room.

So I'm having surgery Friday morning to have my knee scoped and see what goes on in there and they will fix it when they see it.

Hi Eric,

I've been out of town (riding at Road America) so I didn't get a chance to respond earlier - that is a bummer - I hope they get it fixed up quickly!

Good luck tomorrow

Well I'm still here, although a little worse for wear. The surgery went good, they put the chip back in place and fixed my ACL all with a nifty screw (wonder if it's metric or SAE). I got to the hospital at 6am and was home by about 2pm, amazes me how quick they can do this stuff these days. They gave me a new knee immobilizer that isn't full leg like the last one so that's good. So I can bare weight as soon as it's comfortable, can't bend my knee for 4 weeks, then he's talking physical therapy.
