I have a Motorolla Q9m. As most of you crackberry user's found they only accept the 2.5mm headphone jack (3.5mm being standard). So I was flying to Illinois a while back and bought a converter from Radioshack.

I was waiting in the terminal and decided I wanted to make a call. So I unplug it and part of the converter breaks off and is stuck in the phone.

Long story short is there anyway I can get it out without voiding my warranty and such. I've got a replacement policy but that will cost me 50 bucks. If I had a really small tool maybe I could get it out. Of course a magnet would be a BAAAAD idea. Its only the very tip so its not close to surface.

I googled but don't know what to search for. Not a member of any hand held device forums, if there is such a thing.

as dumb as it sounds, try making it naturally fallout when help upside down. tap around the hole and chancer are it might just fall out.

i just had 2 rca wire pins break off inside the jack on my amp. i ended up fakin one jack up and drilling out the broken pin. i then held it upside down and the other broken pin just dropped out like it was nothing. sometimes the easierst things we try 1st sometimes work.

If Demon's idea doesn't work have you thought of taking it to a Verizon repair facility?

Good call, I'm sure this isn't the first time something like this has happened.

Wouldn't hurt, it's not like you glued it in there or anything.

Yeah thanks. Gonna try a paper clip with the battery out. Not putting a drill anywhere near this $500 thing.

Does Verizon have repair places? I thought they would just ship the phones off to china or whatever.

I can't speak for Verizon but Sprint does...time to call customer service.

I believe the one on Rochester Road and Auburn does on site repair.

Ya thanks I'll look into it. Worked on it a little with a paper clip and all I could do was push it further in.
