Congrats... :squid2:
Next time you run CC at Grattan you should be getting both tires off the ground at the jump hump. weird the first time hearing the motor spin up when the rear wheel is off the ground.
The WERA guys are crazy to watch going over that jump

Wish your visor wasn't tinted so we could see the look on your face!

If you look real close at my rear tire, that is off the ground as well. :D

Funny thing is... I had a buddy of mine do a standup wheelie at the last session of the day right when he saw the checkered flag coimg out of 10B. Actually hear him clutch the stupid thing coming on to the straight, once he pulled in he pretty much got jumped and was told if he ever did it again he would be banned from Grattan:laughing:

Maybe a rolling burnout would be more accepted? That's awesome though, but that's just me.

You are only allowed to do rolling burnouts at Pit Out between turns 4 and 5 to "warm up" your tires :squid2:

Jane,
Congrats on your first wheelie, and here's to many more! I'm still bummed I couldn't make it that weekend. Grattan backwards looks like such a blast. :D

I don't do wheelies on purpose, if you hit the jump going counter clockwise at Grattan it pops the front end up. If you hit the jump just right you can get both wheels off of the ground.

But wheelies on purpose are fun!!!!!!!
Watched that video, nice control, but as with anything, I understand there's a time and place for everything. I definately don't do them like I used to, but those were good times.

I'm not much on wheelies myself. Not entirely confident in my ability to keep it from looping. Actually, about the only time that I intentionally pop the front is over crests like on the vid. But I don't really try to ride them out for too far.

I know, you're a racer, not a stunter. Last year running Grattan clockwise, and first time in intermediate, I had both wheels come off the ground over the hump. Problems is, I was not ready for it and my butt was about a foot off the seat. I ended up in the grass. Now, that is my favorite part of the track. Great passing spot going into T5.
