Anyone heading out for the STT event that weekend? Haven't been out there, so any suggestions about the track or places to stay are welcome. I'm not 100% sure yet, but I might do both days.

My friend with the RC51 is doing his first track day that Saturday. We were just going to drive in, ride, and drive back - all on Saturday. If you want to split up a room three ways, maybe we'll stay a night.

Thanks for the offer. That makes for a long day - especially having to get out there that early, so I'm definitely thinking of making it an overnight thing. If I do both days, maybe I will drive out Saturday morning and save a few bucks by only staying one night.

What don't you like about it? Boring track, poor surface conditions or what? You're not the first person to say they don't like it, but I've never heard people's reasons.

I'll be there pimping the STG motorhome both days. Probably won't ride too much since Gingerman isn't my favorite place but I want some seat time.

Yes.
I've heard rumors they were going to change the track so that instead of 2 short straight aways, it would have one longer one.
But I heard that 5 yrs ago and it's still the same...

Boring, flat, and it's 3 strips with sealer strips the whole way. You'll see.

Thanks for the head's up. I'm still curious to check it out, but it will definitely be a Saturday only weekend then.

Why do clowns lay down crappy music over the lovely sound of an engine?
That just is wrong.
And makes watching the video annoying.
However, I see what you mean about the track, Chris.

I've seen you dance, you are a clown!:laughing::eek:
I still say, stop the music over the sound of a great engine!
But the track did look kind of flat and you can see those 3 strips all over the place.
