Doing the usual west side loop Sunday morning. Arrive at 9:00AM and leave by 9:30AM. Meet at the Shell station at the N. Territorial exit on US23. All are welcome. If anyone is coming from the east side that wants to meet up and ride out together, let me know. We can possibly even meet up for breakfast if there's enough interest.

So it seems at least a couple of other east siders are coming out for this one. Let's meet at the Ram's Horn just south of Metro Parkway on Rochester (next to Hooters) and plan on leaving promptly at 8AM. I'll going to get there earlier than that for some grub (7:20ish), but feel free to show up whenever you want.

sounds good

ill wait for chris to chime in and see if he wants to meet you for breakfast, or if we'll just meet you at rams horn around 7:50 to leave for AA.

this ride is a good opportunity for you prospect members to ride wiht us so we can "get to know you" better.

Hopefully I can make it. The weather is looking prime for sunday.

It will be like riding in an oven, but it should still be a good time.

Hey Nelson,

Any chance you could publish a map of the route sometimes? I thought it was pretty sweet last time, and I'd like to maybe take some of my friends that ride and are not on the forum there once, and who are also noobs, but I don't exactly know what streets you guys take. A friend of mine just got his first bike last sunday, and I think it'd be a good place to practice taking turns.

On another note, I'm waiting right now for UPS to drop by with my fairings which I ordered from the site you found, so just wanted to thank you again for your help. Gonna get the bike looking like brand new again this weekend (and hopefully I can say the same thing about the knee after next week :D)

Some people here get excited about posting up the exact route due to cops and all that fun stuff. Truth be told, the best way to learn it is just to ride it. It probably took me 6-8 times of riding it before I learned it and I still miss a turn every now and then. That being said, if you can't make it out this weekend or want to ride out there sometime with your buddies instead, I'll PM you the highlights of it tonight. It will seem much more complicated on paper than it is to actually navigate it.

I'm happy to hear you'll get your bike all fixed up - not that it really looked too bad after the get-off. Ok, it looked better than your knee did at least. :thumb2:

Oh oh, did you take a spill? That always sucks.

Yeah, I remember that about posting routes. No one ever posted a route because of the police.

Although, about how long is this ride?

A lot depends on the size of the group and number of stops. If you didn't stop at all, it's probably about 2ish hours, but when you factor in stopping and grabbing lunch at the end (the ride "ends" the lunch spot before we turn around), you can expect 3-4. That doesn't include the time it takes you get out there to the starting point obviously.

No problem Chuck. There ended up being three of us and it was a great time as usual. Hot as f***, but I expected that going in. 300+ miles and no crashes, so I'll call it a good day. It was nice riding with Prostreet1 and DemonRR (even if he doesn't know how to work an alarm clock). Time to recover from all that riding!
