looking for a track bike

so theres NO WTB (want to buy) section, so i think this is the best place for this.

looking for a track bike. 600/75/1000, it dont matter. preferr a 600 tho. anything but a kawasuki!!! no kawasuki's at all please. thanks.

title status can be cod, salvage, clean, repairable, bill of sale, what ever. as long as it will come back as CLEAN-NOT STOLEN if i get pulled over and the cop runs the vin. dont want a bike that the vin is etched off or comes back stolen.

im also willing to travel up to 300-400 miles ONE WAY to get it.

so let me know what ya got or who's got one for sale.

ive checked back 8 pages on the wera site as well as the stt site, craigslist and egay. nothing that floats my boat yet.

dont blame it on family, he has a great job that pays well. i have a great job, but doesnt pay well. my side work pays well tho. speaking of side work, jane-chris, steve, you guys ready yet?

Mike's the director at Grattan all this weekend. He's got a really good reputation around STT. I'm betting he'll have the bike with him if ya wanna 'check it out'. Or maybe you can have one of our Redline peeps look into it for ya? :thumb2:

Faye, ive been talking to mike quite often about the bike. im not sure who all is gonna be at grattan this weekend. and he will have the bike with him.

i wont be able to make it to grattan this weekend. the other bike, the 02 gsxr600 i also listed above, the guy emailed me saying he has it potentially sold for 3800.00 and a guy is coming today at 9am to pick it up. i was only going to offer 3500 for it. he'll call me either way. both bikes sound good in my opinion. the 02 a little better modded than Mikes, but Mikes is alot closer and a little cheaper which leaves me a little more cash to get a few other goodies on it.

i seen the thread for grattan this weekend. i see sunday is the day Jane and Chris will be there. il give Chris a call a little later and see if he and Mike can get together so Chris can take a look at the bike.

Plus Mike wants me to do a side job on his trailer. bonus :D

I'll take a look at Mike's bike for ya Dave. I have looked at it before, it's in nice shape from what I remember, and looked pretty clean as well. I could even haul it back for ya :thumb2:

i was going to head over his place today to look at it, but i think he left for grattan already. Chris, take a look at it if you dont mind. im trying to get ahold of mike now to let him know you will look at it.

as far as going to grattan and riding, i thought about it. if you say its good, i wont be abloe to make it to Mikes to buy it untill the following weekend. then its off to scotts place at L7 for a check up and what not.

the one i was gonna buy in illinois was sold this morning, bummer. that was a nice bike and had some great suspension mods and spares.

i just got a call from the guy wiht the worked 02 gsxr600 in illinois. im next in line to buy. he has a guy on his way down from wisconsin. ill know in a few hours if its still available. possible road trip to chicago area :D

i havent seen any pics of the bike, just the fs listing on stt site.

if the other deal (in chicago area) falls thru, i might make the drive to grattan tomorrow and check out the bike, and maby buy it. if i do buy it, could you possibly bring it back for me? that way i dont have to tow my trailer out there?
