I think it does, they'd probably be considered mild to moderate by most standards.

I used to think that too. Until I go out of the state. Now... I pretty much despise Michigan roads.
I still like to ride here in Michigan, but its much more for a relaxing, cruise kind of ride.
I would consider Michigan twisties... weak... real weak. I am heading to GA next week. I am going to bust ass on 75 until about Cincinnati. From there to GA I will be on two lane roads that will be better than just about any in Michigan.

Define "Sport Bike" roads
Of course, Michigan has great Sport Bike roads!
All 5 miles of them!
However, we have fantastic water and forests!

Northern Mi has some nice roads. No mountains like northern Georgia but quite a bit closer. ;)

Try North of San Francisco... ;):D
IMO the loop is OK but not there is no way I can compare it to Northern Cal!

there's alot along the northwest coast of the mitt, like kevin said, but you'd need to ditch all the small town speed limits and housing to get any use outta it, like maybe from Traverse thru to Harbor springs.
And a hole lotta bugs...
Deals Gap is only a 9 hour drive!! :thumb2:

Ah hh ride to copper harbor! Pretty much a shorter version of deals gap. But at 8 1/2 hours away you'd have to be going to school there for it to be worth your while.
BTW I'm probably going to sturgess with my dad this year. Think my bike will get burned down?

I wouldnt say MI has any true twisty roads. They are more scenic and curvy. The "loop" is probably some of the best riding in the SE MI area. As stated above, once you leave the state and see what real roads are, it is difficult to enjoy the roads we do have here. For a nice road trip, SE OH and all of WV are spectacular and only 4-5 hours away. Here is a good resource for roads if you have not seen it before.
