I may be wrong here, but I believe the intent was for the "local events" section to be for local rides, get togethers, and those sorts of things. The Events forum would be more for things like the KC school, KSSS, out of state trips, and things that require more planning. This was the way I took it.

Meets n Greets

upon closer inspection the subheading on the Events even says "Upcoming rides & bike nights"

Actually it was supposed to be events (non-riding) and local rides, the track rat's were supposed to keep there stuff in the track rider section. I just haven't had time to moderate like I should.
