Hello everyone! This is my first post so I thought I'd introduce myself. Im a 30 year old guy and I had been riding a 1981 Honda CB750C for the past 3 years. Never rode before, so this was a great starter bike. All winter I looked for something to step up to in the spring and just this past weekend, I found it. It's a 2005 Yamaha Raven R6. It has just over 6K on the clock and I stole it from the kid for $5K! I am very new to sport bikes and am having a lot of fun with this one already! I've put just over 300 miles on the bike in the past week!

I really don't know a lot of riders, so if anyone is near to me in West Bloomfield or anywhere around, I'd love to meet some new people that I can ride with. Went out to Woodward and Royal Oak last week and met some cool people, but kinda feels weird rollin alone LOL. If anyone wants to meet up and go riding anytime, hit me up. 734-564-6845 is my cell. If I dont answer please leave a message and I will get back to you.

Anyways, here are a few pics and I look forward to meeting some like minded people and hopefully learning lots of new stuff!

The bike came with that exhaust... which I hate. I just ordered a full Leo Vince Titanium into Carbon Fiber can exhaust and a PCIII!! :)

Welcome! Have you thought about getting that thing out to the track?

jgreen... i have thought about it, and would love to. I am pretty inexperienced at riding and want to take classes or something. I've heard that going to a well structured track day is a great way to learn. Where do you go? How do they do with newbies?

I don't know if Team Chicago still has a race school at Gratten but I took the wife to it a few years back and she loved it.
