OK, who would be interested in a Friday Dinner Ride, or Friday Dinner Meet. We could either pick a mtg spot and ride to a dinner destination, or pick a dinner destination and meet there?
Suggestions and comments that are relevant are welcomed. :icon14:

This is a great idea. Friday's are usually open for me unless I have a track day. It would also be nice if they were spread out, and not all north of 696. :2cents:
yea downriver west side sometimes would be nice!

The only places I know are around here (north of 696). Anything below 696 is scary! Unless of course it is one of those nice strip joints on 8 mile!

Amazing food: There's a reason the wait is so long, and it's certainly not for Taco Bell quality food. Be prepared to wait, and be prepared to have some of the best Mexican food in Oakland County. Big THANKS to them for also honoring our gift certificate that was issued 2 years ago before the fire. That's quality service, and shows they appreciate & value their customers.

Best of the Best!: I am a Mexican American and I have been to many authentic restaurants. This one takes the cake. It's the best Mexican food you will ever taste. You will actually be served by Mexicans that specialize in this kind of food. It was involved in a fire about one year ago and is being completely rebuild. It will be built to the best of standards in authentic culture. It's a little different now. More of a bar like atmosphere and loud music. It is a long wait to get in on the weekends but worth the wait. I would recommend going during the week to get more of a restaurant feel and not so many people, crowds and loud music and noise.

When going to SAGEBRUSH
I challenge people to finish eating their "Wet Super Burrito with Extra Cheese on top " or
" Their Beef Nacho with extra cheese " go with your wife and order those and thats all and you will be taking home some food in a doggie bag.
Their Nacho Chips are Home Made and the Best, and NOBODY can Match their Home Made SALSA It is the ABSOLUTE BEST And Nobody has that Great of SALSA Anywhere that we have been!
Want the Best Server ask for Eric or Melvin and tell them they were Highly recommended on Redline Superbike............Melvin is managing the place now also.
all that with 2 pops cost about $18 for two people!<!-- / message -->

Better than Xochimolco's? Yes according to ALL that have been to Both places, YES! All I speak with.
<!-- / message -->
And anyone who brings up "on the border"what a joke.....
Totally Different Class and TOO Comercialized in comparison, but we like the Queso cheese dip at on the border, over priced small portion sizes and NO WHERE NEAR as Great as SAGEBRUSH.
I jest People when I say "the world"
But everyone I speak with says so "The Best"
And for those who are "Purest" & concerned with "most authentic" they may find SAGEBRUSH more Tex Mex, but WHO CARES ? , Certainly not my wife or I, Those kind of places serve tiny portions and have more in common with people who like "European Size Portions" Authentic is Not always a good thing, Americanized Mexican is Best in the opinion of those who go to The SAGEBRUSH for the most part, but if you read earlier in this post even Mexican Americans think that it is the Best Local Joint.
<!-- / message -->side note SAGEBRUSH uses Shredded Beef not Hamburger.

Ok since everyone is posting up eating spots that are an hour or more away from me, I will post up some west side eateries.
Italian - Bocca de Beppo, located at 7 mile and Haggerty, right off I-275. Good Food, family style seating, good for big groups.
Mexican - La Fuenta in Ypsilanti. Right off of I-94 and Huron St. Small place with great food and atmosphere.
Mongolian BBQ in Dearborn, Canton, or Novi. Hooters at Fountain Walk in Novi
Depot Town Ypsilanti has a few good places like the Sidetrack and Aubreys. Aubreys has great pizza, and the Sidetrack is your typical Bar food type place with great burgers and a phenominal chicken sandwich.
Cheli's Chili Dearborn. Food is good, not great, but the atmosphere is good, and there is usually some talent walking around. The guys know what I'm talking about
Buffalo Wild Wings all over out here.
Just a thought in case the east siders want to take a ride out, and the west siders don't want to ride an hour or more for dinner. Personally, I like hitting new spots, but everyone isn't nearly as cool as me. :ban:

I stumbled upon this and the other posts!
I realised my cupboards were bare and mein Kinder hungry and I couldn't think where to take them (that I haven't already a thousand times). I haven't even heard of many of these places. We are going to make the roadtrip to Sagebrush!
How is that Red Knapps? I think I went to one in Rochester Hills and regretted it. Are they similar?
Happy Friday to all of you and hope you enjoy the dinner/ride!

I won't lie, that is the norm. I am a good Mom, but not quite the polished and perfect soccer Mom.
I should have paid better attention to the fine print. Nathan was right... reservations were a must tonight.
We turned the corner and found CJ's Lakeside Grill and Sandbar. I did pass a place called Christi's Bar and Grill, that look "happening". Anyone been there?
