The Redline TrackRats are going to be doing the Twilight event on Saturday, Aug 23.
I am going to ride my bike down to watch them do there thing, take pics, hold stands and so on.
Anyone interested in going?
I do not know what time the TrackRats have to leave to get down to MO for the setup/inspection and so on, but we spectators would probably leave sometime around 11am.
It is a nice ride, for those who have never done it.
The track time is from 4:30 to 8:30, so we will probably not get back until close to 11 or so.
All are invited, even if you only have a cage.

Depending on how I feel after the day, I might get a room and head home Sunday. Thats a big Might. So, if someone is too tired to ride home, they can crash.

I'd plan more, but there's always a chance (albeit slim) you'd show up. :gattling2:

You track stars will have to let us know what time you will be leaving for MidOhio.
I have no idea what they are doing at MO before the Twilight event.

For the rest of us that don't live in the UP like Chris, I'd think that 11:30AM maybe even noon at the latest is more reasonable.

that would put us at the gate and scrounging for a decent sized spot if we leave that late. remember, no garages. plus we have ez-ups to put up, gas cans to fill before hand, generators to start up, and tire warmers to throw on. thats after tech and registration.
i dont mind cutting things close, but id like a little relax/breather time after setting everything up.

Didn't realize garages weren't an option, so yes, that changes things a bit. I'm up for whatever, so let's pick a time. How about 11AM from the east side?

im still trying to see if i have a spot w/chris on his truck.
and it sucks not having the option for the garage. i rather found it very usefull last time.

I have no idea what time we spectators might leave for MidOhio.
I do not know if there is a big event there before the Twilight track time or not, so maybe there are a zillion people there and maybe there will be only a few people there.
Dave had mentioned that the trackstars will have to set things up and get organized, so I was thinking that maybe we could try to arrive some time after they did, and offer to help, if that was needed. I do not know if the trackstars need any help or not, so we will have to see.
So, we spectators will have to figure out a departure time and destination.
Gee, maybe we can all leave from Faye's front lawn???
Faye, what about the Princess? Are you caging it?
I believe I could be in for this and what would be wrong with making one big caravan of trailers, bikes, cages all riding together. I know a slower pace but what a scene when we all pull in. just my :2cents:
could we all meet on like 75 somewhere (not sure how we get there)

They might have Carts doing tracktime beforehand...not sure.
I'm not 'askeered' of you pulling out from my front lawn. Lil Princess will be at that wedding.....lol! Keep picking on me and I might take the Harley out of spite... :ridin:

Buckeye BMW has rented the track for their club date.
So, it is possible that things will be somewhat confusing around the time that "we" will/should be arriving.
It would seem like trailers would have a better time driving down I-75 to 15 to 23 to 30 east and 314 south to get to MidOhio.
That is not the way the bikes would go though.

What's a cage Webb?
I am thinking about it.... even to just smell the nitro!

A cage is what motorcyclists call a car, as it is confining and not open to the freedom of the road that we bike riders so enjoy.

I think everyone should go. We had such a blast with the last big outing, and I have a feeling the Track Rats will be flying this weekend. I know I am excited to get back out, and from what I hear, the others are gettin it done, so I will have some catchup to do.
Besides that, I said everybody should go, and that should be enough. :sissy:
I'm in Proby! would rather meet somewhere a little more in the middle like 275 somewhere?

all you guys and gals that are coming, this will be an excellent time to check things out at the track. see whats all involved in a typical trackday. watch a bunch of fast and faster riders go round and round and hopefully witness NO accidents. and who knows, maby for those of you who have never done a track day might get bit by the track bug.
