Yea if I want to be divorced before I even get married that would be a great plan.

Last time I went to the local bike dealership I noticed that their 1098 was gone (they get one at a time and always put it on display at the entrance). I mentioned something to the manager and he said a guy came in and bought the 1098 and the 848 they had with cash!!! Literally, forking out $100 bills like it was nothing.

I was torn between getting the 848 or my 999. I'm still wondering if I made the right decision.

i hope you didn't pay near as much for your 999 as a new 848...

its the $$$ that's keeping me on my 999 for another year

Well, the 999 only had 1,936 miles on it when I got it, and they threw in a service and tire installation (and discounted the tires). Still, I came out a couple grand under what that 848 would cost.

The story I heard is that his dad died, and he was out spending his inheritance.

Looking into the Crystal Ball, I see Little Docs running around with Ducati Jackets on, but where is the Duc? Oh, it got sold for the new Chrysler Town & Country in the driveway, with stow & Go seating for soccer. LOL! :doublefinger:

I'm sure the mags will do a comparo between the Duc 848 and the GSXR750.

That should be a good read. :thumb2:

I have my price, let me know what you may be thinking. It's @ L7 currently getting tuned up.

Well, I will have to take it for a test ride first, to see if it fits me. :motorbike2:

In the meantime, PM me what you would like to get for it, and we can go from there. I'm not really locked into a certain $ amount to spend, but I would be paying cash, so the lower, the better obviously. I know the bike and the owner, so you don't have to worry about me lowballing you, or trying to pick the bike apart, because I can't.

I would really just want to see if I would like a twin, as I have never rode one before.
