As many of you may know, im on my second can for taylormade, and im just not happy. I really like the look of the taylormade, but im having issues with it yet again.

Im looking for another exhaust and Ive heard a few but I wanted some suggestions from you guys.

I prefer a low mount and leaning towards a M4. Im not sure I really need a full exhaust, so I will be totally happy with a slip on.

Ive thought about Akrapovic, Hotbodies or Yosh. I know the yosh is a little quieter and I would really prefer a low mount if possible.

I know that it all comes down to about sound pref but im also worried about stability of the parts and what not. With Taylormade they seem to be garbage or at least in both of my cans case they are.

Thanks! :)

Surprising to hear you're comments on Taylormade....I've always heard pretty good things about them....I've always heard Yosh pipes are good for Suzukis...never heard any feedback on Akrapovic...never heard many good things about Hotbodies anything....

You cannot go wrong with either a Hindle or an Akrapovic.

Nice sounds, not annoying, good power.
I am not sure about the slip on availability, but that is easy to check.

I have the Yosh carbon fiber RS-3 Race cans on my SV1000 and there is nothing quiet about them at all. Sounds mean and sweet at the same time.

You need to make a list of what you want from a pipe. Sound, looks, performance, cost And go from there. The Akro is simply the hightest quality pipe on the market, and many believe it makes the best power across the whole rpm band, the only problem is it has a high price to go with it. Good luck with your search and share with us your findings.

Akro
Yosh
M4
Two Bros
Arrow

In that order (although the gap is minimal), and from personal experience :icon14:

I am considering a Leo Vince for my Hypermotard, hace heard a lot of good things about them.

Thanks for all the input. I am going to look into Akro & m4. Im not sure of a full exhaust, but I will be getting one of the 2.

Thanks again! :)

if your not going with a full system then just get a Yosh. Many choices, good quality, sound good, can get at reasonable price, blah, blah blah,

+2 if you are going to buy a full system not a slip on.

I saw the Brock Hindle full exhaust today up at Cafe and really liked it. Im really leaning towards the Brock Hindle Alien Head full exhaust. I checked it out and it sounds totally awesome! :)

I had Taylormade and had issues with both cans so I want to change to a better exhaust.

Taylormade cans are extremly poorly made.

This comes from Scott @ L7

"The Taylormade muffler is bound for failure. The internal chamber of the muffler is almost the same size as the muffler itself. I would say less than 1/4in of packing between the baffle and the exterior wall of the muffler. It is all assembled with aluminium rivets. If you take those 2 things and add in the muffler bolts directly to the headder collector (hottest part of an exhaust system) it doesn't suprise me that the rivets melted from heat, especially if the bike is ridden at the higher end of the RPM scale."

Jeff @ Cafe has also informed me that he has seen the same issue in which im having on a couple of other bikes.

With all of this being said, I am going to go into a full exhaust system. I really like the looks of the Brock Hindle Alienhead exhaust and may end up getting it this winter. :)

well im still confused but maybe its because i drink too much beer on Friday nights. One thing is for sure if you bought two of these for a bike one year old than I would not buy another one LOL

Ha Ha! LOL!!

Ive not heard anything bad about the Brock Hindle full system. Im trying to convince the g/f that it would be great if I got it, but she wants a ring! LOL

I told her I will get her a small ring just to squash it, that didnt go over soo well! LOL!!!:sissy:

well, you cant go wrong with brock/hindle exhausts. they have been around a while and always seem to make good end results.

as far as the ring, buy her one of those titanium or carbon fiber ones :D
